Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group seeks an APC Service Line Lead for Heart and Vascular to provide strategic and operational leadership of APC practice across the service line. The role includes supervision of APCs, workforce planning, and collaboration with physician and operational leadership to advance patient care delivery.

The position offers protected administrative time, clinical practice, and opportunities to develop future APC leaders while aligning with organizational goals and performance

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA employed full-time (1.0 FTE) within the Heart and Vascular service line and in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years of APC clinical experience.
• Demonstrated interest in leadership, professional development, and practice improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, APCs, operational leaders, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day professional leadership and support for APCs within the service line.
• Partner with operational leadership in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of APCs.
• Participate in performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development planning.
• Address performance concerns and employee relations issues as needed.
• Promote APC engagement, accountability, and adherence to standards.
• Serve as a resource and escalation point for APC practice concerns.
