Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Senior AP1000 SRO Instructor to support training for AP1000 reactors, combining technical learning, instructional development, and plant design to enhance safe operation. You will lead analyses, develop and deliver complex AP1000 training, mentor instructors, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Travel about 25% and on-site presence 2–3 days per week as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, education, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
• Minimum 4 years of Navy or commercial nuclear plant operations/training experience.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training and nuclear qualification programs.
• Apply approved sources, operating experience, and performance information to complex training decisions.
• Experience reviewing training products and leading curriculum improvements.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%, including domestic and international travel.
• NRC RO/SRO license or equivalent qualifications highly regarded.
• Experience mentoring instructors and improving curricula.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAT analyses and training needs analyses.
• Develop and deliver AP1000 plant systems training including abnormal, emergency, and simulator-based training.
• Ensure training content follows approved sources and traceability requirements.
• Resolve complex instructional issues with qualified support.
• Analyze performance data to determine required training changes.
• Review training products and verify technical accuracy and readiness.
• Mentor Junior AP1000 instructors and lead curriculum improvements.
• Support simulator issues, testing, and implementation of corrections.
• Improve digital learning content and simulators.
• Manage curriculum areas and training planning; support training committees and customer discussions.
• Maintain required qualifications and site access for staff and instructors.
