Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an AP1000 SRO Instructor to support training for licensed and non-licensed operators and to meet customer needs. The role blends technical learning, instructional development, and simulator-based materials to ensure safe plant operation and readiness.

The position is based at Cranberry Woods, Cranberry Township, PA, with a hybrid schedule and 2–3 days on-site weekly; ~25% travel, domestic and international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, science, technology, education, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of U.S. Navy or commercial nuclear plant experience.
• Familiarity with nuclear plant operations, systems, procedures, maintenance, testing, commissioning, or training.
• Ability to develop and deliver AP1000 operations training independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAT analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation activities.
• Conduct training needs analyses and implement approved changes.
• Develop and deliver classroom, laboratory, plant, and simulator training for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Use SMR or Navy experience to connect plant systems and responses in training materials.
• Identify performance gaps and provide targeted remediation.
• Incorporate operating experience and feedback into training products.
• Maintain and test simulator-based materials and training content.
• Mentor junior AP1000 SRO instructors in qualification and training delivery.
• Obtain and maintain required access and qualifications; travel ~25%.
