Job summary

Mercury Systems in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process visual verification of electronic assemblies and ensure IPC compliance. You will document discrepancies, support production readiness, and guide team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications, 3–5 years of hand solder experience, microscope soldering capability, and strong communication skills to provide real-time feedback.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience performing hand solder.
• Meticulous hand-eye coordination for soldering on complex PCB’s.
• Ability to communicate openly to provide real-time feedback.
• Must hold IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.
• Ability to solder under a microscope for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process visual verification of electronic assemblies and document discrepancies.
• Ensure quality at production line level with spot-inspection, sampling and 1st-piece verification.
• Verify in-process material against BOM, customer specs and IPC standards.
• Document and record all quality data accurately.
• Escalate systemic issues to Lead, Supervision, Quality and Engineering.
• Perform soldering per IPC 7711/7721 when required.
