Job summary

Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia is seeking an experienced attorney for the Antitrust and Nonprofit Enforcement Section, Public Advocacy Division. The role involves litigating complex civil antitrust matters, supervising investigations and nationwide litigation, and mentoring junior attorneys.

The incumbent must have a JD, be DC Bar admitted (or eligible for waiver), and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including civil litigation and strong research/writing

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and DC Bar admission (or waiver) within 360 days.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including complex civil litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills and ability to handle multiple matters.
• Familiarity with antitrust practice is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Litigate complex civil antitrust cases at all stages of litigation.
• Manage nationwide and local litigation to advance District interests.
• Lead investigations and negotiations in multi-state matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys and coordinate team efforts.
• Provide training and collaborate with public entities as needed.
• Travel locally and nationwide for investigations, hearings, and trials.
