Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia is seeking an experienced attorney for the Antitrust and Nonprofit Enforcement Section, Public Advocacy Division. The role involves litigating complex civil antitrust matters, supervising investigations and nationwide litigation, and mentoring junior attorneys.
The incumbent must have a JD, be DC Bar admitted (or eligible for waiver), and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including civil litigation and strong research/writing
Located in the nation’s capital, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is the chief legal office of the District of Columbia. OAG enforces the District’s laws, works to protect and defend D.C. residents, and provides the highest level of independent legal advice and guidance to District of Columbia government agencies. This position is in the Antitrust and Nonprofit Enforcement Section of the Public Advocacy Division (PAD).
The Incumbent must have a law degree and be a member of the District of Columbia Bar or eligible for waiver into bar.
At least 10 or more years of relevant related specialized experience, 1 year of which must have been equivalent to LA-14.
You should have strong civil litigation experience, familiarity with federal antitrust practice, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently and exercise strategic and legal judgment. You must be able to analyze complex factual issues to identify and prosecute potential violations and be able to handle several complex matters at one time. Familiarity with industrial organization or microeconomics generally is helpful for the Antitrust and Nonprofit Enforcement Section’s antitrust work but is not required.
The incumbent must be sworn into the District of Columbia Bar within 360 days of his/her initial appointment with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
Work is generally performed in an office setting. Generally, work is sedentary, some walking, handling, and carrying of light to moderately heavy objects (such as case records, briefcases, and exhibits) is required.

Tour of Duty: Monday-Friday; 8:45 am- 5:15 pm
