Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Competition, this position can be based in San Francisco or Washington, D.C. The organization offers a hybrid work model with relocation assistance for new hires.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of antitrust legal experience.
• JD and license to practice in the state you reside.
• Experience in both in-house and top-tier law firm environments.
• Experience with competition regulators is a plus.
• Expertise in evaluating antitrust risk and regulatory clearance strategies for transactions.
• Experience leading strategy and responses to regulator investigations at a tech company.
• Ability to operate autonomously in highly technical, fast-moving settings.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities; lead multiple matters.
• Desire to build new approaches delivering measurable business impact.
• Exceptional communication skills: distill complex issues into actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support global regulatory engagements with competition authorities and lead RFIs and inquiries from regulators.
• Partner with Corporate Legal and Corporate Development to support strategic acquisitions and regulatory clearance strategies.
• Collaborate with global policy and regulatory affairs to anticipate AI competition scrutiny.
• Advise business and other legal teams on competition-law considerations for commercial relationships and product strategy.
• Develop impactful competition-law enablement resources and campaigns.
