OpenAI seeks a senior competition lawyer to lead regulatory engagements and advise on antitrust strategy. You will steer responses to regulator inquiries, and collaborate with Corporate Legal on strategic transactions.

Based in San Francisco or Washington, DC, the role uses a hybrid model with relocation assistance for new hires. You will build enablement resources and guide business teams on competition issues.

Qualifications

10+ years of antitrust experience.
JD and license to practice in the relevant state.
Mix of in-house and top-tier law firm background.
Experience with competition regulators is a plus.
Ability to evaluate antitrust risk and develop regulatory strategies.
Experience leading regulator investigations at a technology company.
Autonomy, sound judgment, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

Support OpenAI's global regulatory engagements with competition authorities.
Lead responses to RFIs and regulator inquiries.
Partner with Corporate Legal and Corporate Development on regulatory clearance for acquisitions.
Advise on competition law in business and product strategy.
Develop competition-law enablement resources and campaigns.
