Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a senior competition lawyer to lead antitrust matters and regulatory engagements worldwide. The role supports OpenAI’s M&A program, advises on competition risk for business and product strategies, and drives training initiatives.

The position is based in San Francisco or Washington, D.C., with a hybrid model (3 days in the office per week) and relocation assistance available. 10+ years of antitrust experience and a JD with bar admission are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of antitrust experience in a legal role.
• JD and license to practice law in the relevant state.
• Combination of in-house and top-tier law firm experience.
• Experience with competition regulators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead global competition regulatory engagements and RFIs from regulators.
• Support regulatory clearance strategies for acquisitions and investments.
• Advise on competition law for OpenAI’s business and product strategies.
• Develop and deliver competition-law enablement resources and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Corporate Legal, Corporate Development, and policy teams.
