Job summary

Lyten is seeking a Senior Engineer-Anode to lead development and optimization of metal anode formulations and SEI strategies for next‑gen Li-metal and alloy systems.

You will test multiple cell formats in dry-room environments, evaluate plating behavior and life performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition lab results to scalable production while ensuring safety metrics.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with industry experience in battery research and development.

Responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, and optimize metal anode formulations and composite architectures.
• Test coin cells, pouch cells, and full stacks under inert glovebox conditions.
• Evaluate Li plating/stripping, cycle life, and impedance across conditions.
• Characterize interfaces, SEI degradation, and failure modes using SEM/XPS/XRD.
• Collaborate with process engineers to scale promising formulations.
• Establish QC parameters and DFМ guidelines for pilot-scale manufacturing.
• Work with Electrolyte/Cathode teams to optimize full-cell performance and safety.
