Job summary

Athene is seeking an experienced software developer to design, code, and implement new product propositions within the ALIP policy administration system. The role focuses on configuring annuity product rules, workflows, and transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work in an Agile environment, leveraging tools like GitHub and Jenkins to ensure reliable releases, and contribute to automation and process improvements to boost efficiency and data quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of application development, configuration, or systems experience within insurance or financial services.
• Experience with policy administration systems (ALIP preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL/database queries and programming languages listed.
• Experience in Agile environments using Jira/Confluence/GitHub/Jenkins.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve productivity and code development.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and enhance annuity product rules, workflows, and transactions within ALIP and related systems.
• Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions; follow development standards and best practices.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy application changes; support reliable software releases.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Operations, and Technology teams to improve performance and data quality.
