Job summary

Oliver James Group in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst to oversee compliance across annuity products, including development, filings, sales practices, and contract administration. The role requires strong insurance compliance experience and ability to identify risks and implement controls.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in insurance compliance, ideally within life insurance or annuities.
• Strong knowledge of annuity regulations, product compliance, sales practices, and contract administration.
• Experience preparing and submitting regulatory filings through SERFF and responding to regulatory queries.
• Understanding of annuity suitability and best-interest requirements, including applicable SEC and FINRA regulations.
• Experience conducting compliance reviews, risk assessments, monitoring, and regulatory research.
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering, privacy, data protection, records retention, and producer licensing requirements.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex assignments independently and provide guidance to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annuity product lifecycle compliance from development to administration.
• Prepare and submit product forms, riders, endorsements, and regulatory filings to state departments and Interstate Insurance Compact.
• Review customer disclosures, sales materials, advertising, and marketing content for regulatory compliance.
• Support annuity suitability and best-interest programmes, including producer training and disclosure requirements.
• Oversee compliance for contract servicing, amendments, and other post-sale activities.
• Support compliance for registered annuity products, including SEC and FINRA requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on their impact.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Operations, Distribution, and Marketing teams to resolve compliance issues.
