Job summary

Aspida in Durham, NC is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to provide oversight of annuity product compliance, including contract drafting, filings, and post-sale controls.

The role requires substantial insurance regulatory knowledge, the ability to interpret complex rules, and collaboration with Legal, Product, Operations, Distribution and Marketing to implement regulatory requirements. On-site three days a week, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 7 years of financial services compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior IC role.
• Experience managing regulatory product filings for fixed and variable annuities.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance oversight of annuity product development lifecycle and filings.
• Interpret applicable insurance laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions and controls.
• Lead cross-functional projects and deliver timely regulatory filings and responses.
• Support anti-money laundering, privacy, records retention, and licensing oversight.
