Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking an experienced Annuities Manager (5+ years) to lead annuity product initiatives within the Life practice. The role focuses on pricing strategies, product development, hedging, regulatory compliance, and risk management, with a strong emphasis on client delivery.

You will mentor junior staff, manage multiple workstreams, and present analyses to senior leaders while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams in a hybrid, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with annuities, including pricing, product development, and/or inforce management.
• ASA or FSA credential preferred; strong actuarial foundation required.
• Knowledge of the annuity market landscape, trends, and regulatory changes.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to lead multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders.
• Experience with financial modeling systems or scripting languages (R, Python) is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex annuity-focused analyses on product development, rate setting, assumption benchmarking, hedging, and valuation.
• Own ongoing client communications and ensure high satisfaction.
• Ensure technical accuracy and integrity in work produced by junior staff.
• Produce executive-level management reports and present findings to senior leaders and clients.
• Build a strong industry network to showcase Oliver Wyman's value proposition.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative, performance-driven environment encouraging learning and innovation.
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team to expand annuity expertise.
• Support the professional growth of junior staff in annuity consulting capabilities.
