Job summary

Jewish Federation of Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Annual Giving Officer to grow our Annual Campaign, Direct Gifts, and Legacy commitments. You will lead the Community Campaign segment, recruit and train volunteers, and coordinate donor events while supporting overall fundraising operations.

The role reports to the Director of Annual Giving and requires building strong donor relationships, strategic planning, and effective stewardship within our Cincinnati community.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of fundraising experience.
• Proven ability to cultivate donor relationships and solicit gifts.
• Familiarity with donor databases and CRM systems.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; strategic donor engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, and reliable follow-up.

Responsibilities

SENIOR ANNUAL GIVING OFFICER

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Annual Giving Officer is responsible for cultivating relationships with and soliciting donors for the Annual Campaign, Directed Gifts, and Legacy commitments. This position leads the Community Campaign segment ($1,000–$10,000), and is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteer campaigners while supporting overall Annual Campaign operations. The Senior Annual Giving Officer also coordinates donor stewardship and fundraising events, including parlor meetings and community-wide events, and manages Silver Circle Society stewardship for donors with 25+ years of giving and other similar affinity groups. This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Personally manage a portfolio of 75-100 donor prospects
• Manage the Community Campaign segment (Gifts $1k-$10k), including recruiting, training, and managing volunteer campaigners,
• Assists with the overall Annual Campaign operations, overseeing staff solicitations, and managing staff-led phone-a-thons and similar efforts
• Coordinates fundraising and stewardship events, including small parlor meetings, as well as community-wide events
• Assists in the management and implementation of annual campaign giving societies and their associated benefits
• Manage aspects of tracking, reporting, communications and scheduling for the Annual Giving Team, including lay leaders and volunteer solicitors

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5-10 years of experience in fundraising
• Demonstrated success in building and sustaining relationships among donors and prospective donors
• Familiarity with Donor Databases and/or CRM Systems
• Active listener and skillful communicator; ability to think strategically to engage existing and prospective donors
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-up
• Passionate about making a transformative impact in the Cincinnati Jewish community
• Commitment to the mission of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and knowledge of, or deep willingness to learn Jewish customs and practices
