Job summary

Electronic Arts’ Respawn Entertainment is seeking a Technical Lead for the Animation team to drive the evolution of Apex Legends’ animation system. You’ll lead engineers, define roadmaps, and collaborate with riggers, animators, and tech art to modernize workflows and deliver a stable codebase for live-service updates.

Requirements include deep C/C++ expertise, runtime animation architectures, and 10+ years in game development with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining runtime character animation systems and architecture.
• Strong ownership, leadership, and ability to guide engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of animation engineers, fostering collaboration and problem solving.
• Plan and execute major technical changes while maintaining a stable live-service codebase.
• Architect, implement, and maintain animation systems in C++.
• Collaborate across disciplines to design scalable animation solutions.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and architecture discussions.
