Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Viewmodel Animator to join the Apex Legends Animation team in Los Angeles. You will help establish high-quality first-person animations that bring gameplay to life and work with designers, engineers, and artists across disciplines.

You will deliver animation from blockout to final polish, collaborate to create immersive, responsive gameplay, and help evolve workflows and pipelines within the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game development experience.
• Strong understanding of video game animation development.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
• Experience with first person weapons/behaviors.
• Experience collaborating with designers, engineers and artists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver powerful first-person animation performances from blockout to final polish with style and personality.
• Work closely with designers and cross-discipline teams to ensure immersive gameplay.
• Share knowledge, inspire creativity, and elevate the quality bar.
• Maintain communication across production, design, art, audio, and VFX.
• Help establish efficient pipelines and procedures across animation teams.
• Be proactive in evolving workflow and player experience.
