Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking an Animal Control Supervisor for the Georgetown area to lead shelter staff, oversee rabies control, nuisance investigations and impoundment operations.

The role requires on-call availability, strong customer service, and experience in field-related animal control with supervisory responsibilities. Training and licensing requirements apply, with Euthanasia certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of full-time Animal Control Officer experience with at least one year in a related field.
• One year in a lead or supervisory role; or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop staff through performance review and coaching.
• Manage animal control processes, enforcement and investigations.
• Respond to complaints on nuisance, code violations and welfare.
• Patrol for nuisance animals and ensure timely action follow-ups.
• Schedule staff to meet business needs and cover shifts.
• Investigate bites and rabies exposures.
• Impound and transport animals, handling up to 100 lbs.
• Assist with case investigations, paperwork, and logs.
• Counsel owners and adopters; manage shelter intake and licensing.
• Euthanize animals when necessary using humane methods.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours incidents as needed.
• Engage with community partners and public education efforts.
• Record data accurately and maintain files.
