Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking an Animal Control Supervisor to oversee staff, enforce animal control ordinances, investigate rabies cases, and manage impoundment and education programs in the Georgetown area.

Qualifications

• Three years' full-time experience as an Animal Control Officer.
• At least one year in a related animal control field and customer service.
• One year in a lead or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Recommends for hire, supervises, and develops staff through review of performance data, conferences, counseling, training and evaluating of performance.
• Oversees animal control processes, enforcement and investigations.
• Responds to and resolves customer complaints in areas such as animal nuisance, code violations, welfare, rabies control and dangerous animals.
• Patrols the city to identify and eliminate animal nuisances.
• Manages employee scheduling to meet business needs.
• Investigates animal bites and potential rabies exposures.
