Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in performing advanced interventional procedures and therapies with recommendation from care site lead Radiologist.
• Minimum 5 years of Angio/Interventional Radiology experience with VIR certification OR minimum 10 years in Angio/Interventional Radiology.
• Proficiency in at least 5 advanced interventional procedures including Neurovascular, liver, pulmonary, and limb salvage interventions.
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
• Effective interaction with other caregivers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Meets all requirements for Angio/Interventional Tech and acts as a defined preceptor.
• Orient new Angio Interventionalist caregivers, provide teaching, coaching, mentoring and supervision.
• Proctors other staff including specialized equipment and procedural techniques.
• Participates in care process models for Advanced Interventionalist; acts as first assistant and scrubs 50+ advanced procedures yearly.
• Develops education materials on emerging technologies and proctors staff to establish proficiency.
• Establishes and maintains quality control standards.
• Adheres to on-call expectations with minimum stroke/trauma response times.
