Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II to ensure proper provision and technical function of anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitoring equipment, and related devices. The role includes stocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and troubleshooting various anesthesia systems.

Responsibilities span room preparation, equipment handling, and daily maintenance tasks, with adherence to PPE and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
2–4 years as Certified Anesthesia Technician II.
Active ASATT Anesthesia Technician Certification.
Completion of AHA AED Heartsaver Certification within 6 months.
Continued certification is needed for employment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and hospital systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors and related equipment.
Troubleshoot worklist connections and ultrasound transmissions.
Perform weekly maintenance checks on Philips equipment.
Prepare and clean rooms following Infection Prevention Protocols.
Handle anesthesia supplies and stock central workrooms.
Troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and ensure vitals are captured by monitors.
Deliver, set up and transport fiberoptic scopes and TEE probes in OR.
Pre-clean scopes and disinfect ultrasound probes per Infection Prevention procedures.
