Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an Anesthesia Equipment Technician to maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment, monitors, and related supplies in the operating room. Primary duties include setup, calibration, and rapid response to equipment issues to ensure patient safety during procedures.

The role requires collaborating with anesthesiologists and surgeons, maintaining stock, and adhering to infection control and safety standards across the department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of anesthesia equipment, operation, troubleshooting, and repair initiation
• Checks monitoring equipment daily and assists with preparation and calibration for patient safety
• Coordinates activities outside the unit and accompanies anesthesiologist/surgeon as needed
• Sets up pressure transducers, ensures proper calibration of transducers and pressure modules
• Maintains anesthesia environment and supplies, inventories stock, liaises with purchasing
• Follows safety and Infection Control protocols and ensures cleaning standards are maintained
