Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Anesthesia Aide I to support provisioning, maintenance and functioning of anesthesia machines, ventilators and monitoring equipment in OR settings. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and assisting with troubleshooting across anesthesia peripherals.

The role emphasizes high-acuity areas familiarity such as Cardiac and transplant services, with routine equipment checks, turnover, and adherence to infection

Qualifications

Room preparations and cleaning per protocol.
Ensure anesthesia machine turnover between cases per rules.
End-of-day terminal cleaning of equipment.
Follow PPE protocols for cleaning of contact rooms.
Maintain clean and orderly workrooms.
Anesthesia supply handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

Perform duties of Anesthesia Aide I.
Familiar with high-acuity areas such as cardiac and transplant.
Secondary troubleshooting of anesthesia peripheral equipment (EPIC, Neuron).
Deliver and set up fiberoptic scopes and towers in OR as needed.
Setup TEE probes and machines in the OR.
Assemble and disassemble anesthesia machine connections for movement.
Transport clean scopes from SPD to all areas.
Pre-clean scopes and TEE probes following infection prevention procedures.
Transport dirty probes and scopes per protocol.
Inform supervisor of supply issues in workrooms.
