Job summary

With 8+ years in C++ on Android, you’ll tackle a broad range of challenges, collaborate with multiple Roblox teams, and contribute to our scalable client experiences. Office-based role with on-site days and flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing, and debugging complex C++ apps on Android.
• Experience with a broad range of Android devices.
• Proficient with Vulkan or OpenGL in a performance-focused environment.
• Knowledge of video codecs and how video is compressed, delivered, and decoded.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize video capture, encoding, playback, and rendering on Android (NDK).
• Architect and implement our vision for video in a 3D immersive environment.
• Collaborate across Roblox to apply video tech in products and platforms.
• Contribute to backend microservices and, when needed, cross-platform work across desktop and consoles.
• Stay current with new video tech and industry trends.
