AgileEngine, LLC, based in San Francisco, is seeking an Android Tech Lead to drive architecture and evolution of a new Android experience. You will mentor engineers, set best practices, and guide technical decisions across the mobile stack while collaborating with backend and design teams.

You’ll shape the product architecture, influence team growth, and work in a culture that values ownership, technical excellence, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of Android development experience with lead/principal responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines and Flow.
• Proven track record defining mobile architecture for large-scale apps.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform interactions or mobile-backend integration strategies.
• Strong ability to drive consensus and mentor senior engineers.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit and UI test suites.

Responsibilities

• Lay the groundwork: Establish architectural patterns and best practices for a new Android implementation.
• Mentorship: Train and onboard incoming engineers to minimize ramp-up time.
• Architect complex solutions requiring deep Android and networking knowledge.
• Lead mobile architecture decisions and integration strategies within the team.
• Collaborate with Distinguished Engineers to align with established standards.
• Oversee the design system implementation across the Android codebase.
