Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. seeks an Android Tech Lead to drive architecture and evolution of a new Android experience.

You will mentor engineers, set best practices, and guide critical technical decisions across the mobile stack, collaborating with backend and design teams to scale and delight millions of users. You will lead architectural decisions, define patterns, and oversee the design system across the Android codebase while partnering with Distinguished Engineers to ensure standards are met and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 7+ years Android development with lead/principal role.
• Proficient in Kotlin, Coroutines and Flow.
• Track record defining mobile architecture for large-scale apps.
• Experience with GCP or mobile-backend integration strategies.
• Strong consensus-building and mentorship of senior engineers.
• Experience writing extensive unit and UI tests.

Responsibilities

• Lay the groundwork: establish architectural patterns and best practices for a new Android implementation.
• Mentorship: train and onboard incoming engineers to minimize ramp-up time.
• Architect complex solutions requiring deep Android and networking knowledge.
• Lead technical decisions on mobile architecture and integration strategies.
• Collaborate with Distinguished Engineers to align with standards.
• Oversee implementation of the design system across the Android codebase.
