Medium is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own Android features end-to-end, from problem definition through shipping and performance tuning. You’ll work with designers and engineers from the US and France and collaborate across platforms to ensure cohesive product experiences.

The role emphasizes strong Kotlin/Compose skills, modern Android architecture, and the ability to contribute to web or iOS backends when needed. This is a remote, full‑time position within the US.

Qualifications

• Years of production Android app experience.
• Fluency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines and Flow.
• Ability to own Android features end to end and collaborate cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own Android features end to end from problem understanding to shipping.
• Shape scope, push back on tradeoffs, propose simpler solutions.
• Write idiomatic, well‑tested Kotlin and Compose UI.
