Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our Digital team and deliver high-quality Android applications for CVS Health and Health100. This role collaborates with design, product, and engineering teams to ship features that enhance our omni-channel shopping and pharmacy experiences.

The successful candidate will own development across the Android stack, applying MVVM and modern Android best practices while ensuring performance and accessibility across devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development working on enterprise-class applications.
• 3+ years of experience working on Android front-end development.
• 3+ years of experience developing for multiple device sizes such as mobile and tablets, including portrait & landscape.

Responsibilities

• Developing, integrating and deploying Android Applications
• Write efficient, well-documented code with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose / Java in Android using Android Studio
• Work in OOP and design patterns, such as MVVM, MVC, Strategy, etc.
• Create core libraries, application framework, and Android architecture.
• Work with concurrency including Thread, Handler, java, Coroutines and scheduling techniques
• Work with Product Management, Engineering, and UX team members to influence the android application development
