Job summary

Walmart Global Tech – Auto Care Center seeks a Senior Android Engineer with 5–10 years of Android experience to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade apps powering Auto Care services. You will work on Kotlin-based development, modern Android architectures, and CMS-integrations, collaborating with backend, product, UX, and QA teams.

The role emphasizes scalable features, high-quality code, and CI/CD practices, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and robust testing across devices.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and Android Jetpack components.
• Experience developing large-scale enterprise mobile applications.
• Experience consuming GraphQL and REST APIs, asynchronous programming with Coroutines, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of testing and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android functionality using Kotlin and modern Android best practices.
• Build scalable, reusable features using MVVM, Jetpack libraries, Kotlin Coroutines, and Clean Architecture.
• Integrate GraphQL and REST APIs and collaborate with backend, product, UX, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Implement and maintain CMS-driven content modules within native Android applications.
• Optimize performance, reliability, accessibility, and user experience; resolve production issues and technical debt.
• Write unit and UI tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and Agile development.
• Work with AI tools such as GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT for code generation.
