Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to drive cross‑platform mobile architecture and implement high‑quality iOS and Android features. You will collaborate with product, design and software leads to deliver scalable, performant apps that meet business goals.

The role requires strong Swift/Xcode skills, Android Kotlin capabilities, API integration experience, and a track record of shipping apps to the App Store or Play Store. Excellent mentoring and CI/CD practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Swift and Xcode, multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying iOS applications to the App Store.
• Strong grasp of GraphQL, REST APIs, and API integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of Combine, Core Data, and dependency injection frameworks.
• Proven ability to understand product requirements and translate them into reliable, maintainable code.
• At least 4 years of corporate work experience in Android development.
• Wide experience working in multi-module environment projects.
• Expert-level knowledge of git and continuous integration.
• Experience in good app architecture using design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean
• Experience in working for large corporations
• Experience in working for retail Industry

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and evolve the mobile architecture, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Mentor other engineers on coding standards, design principles, and architectural patterns.
• Experiment with new frameworks, tools, and technologies; quickly prototype ideas.
• Lead the discovery phase of complex projects to define high-level design and technical direction.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Build reusable Android components, orchestrate user‑interactions integrating with backend services via REST and GraphQL APIs
