Hinge is seeking an experienced Android engineer to join our Android team to develop and maintain the Hinge Android app. You will implement features, fix issues, and improve user experience using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and more.

You will collaborate with product, data engineers, backend engineers, QA analysts, and designers on high-impact work for millions of users; this role offers ownership, code quality focus, and opportunities for mentorship.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Android development experience.
• Experience publishing at least one app on Google Play Store.
• Proficiency in Kotlin; good understanding of Android SDKs; Java is a plus.
• Strong fundamentals of software development.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ownership and focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to build high-quality features and drive user engagement.
