American Unit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Developer with Kotlin and modern Android frameworks to design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance mobile applications used by millions of customers.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of Android development, expert knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, REST/GraphQL, agile delivery, and a proven ability to lead code reviews and mentor juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proven experience building large-scale consumer-facing Android applications.
• Experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose and architecture components.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong knowledge of security, performance optimization, observability, and monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Android apps using Kotlin.
• Build scalable customer experiences across marketplace, payments, and order tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Android solutions.
• Drive architecture, reusable components, and coding standards.
• Optimize performance, startup time, memory usage, and reliability.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Support production releases, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Stay current with Android technologies and improve processes.
