Job summary

Canvendor is seeking a contract Android engineer in Portland to own hands-on development across the AOSP native layer, graphics, and system services. You’ll tackle HALs, Binder/AIDL, and kernel interfaces while coordinating with vendor BSPs and hardware teams.

You will debug with logs, dumpsys, and tracing, optimize performance on embedded platforms, and mentor teammates on architecture, coding practices, and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android AOSP framework and native layer development.
• Strong C/C++ and Java/Kotlin skills.
• Experience with system services, Binder/AIDL, HALs and init.
• Proficient in debugging with logs, traces, dumpsys and kernel logs.
• Experience integrating Android with vendor BSPs and hardware peripherals.
