Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona is seeking a senior Analytics & Data Science leader to drive day-to-day operations, develop models, dashboards and tools that turn data into actionable insights for medical management, quality, and provider reimbursement strategies.

You will lead a team, coordinate with internal and external partners, and ensure standards and training are in place while working in a hybrid AZ environment with flexible onsite requirements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of data science, analytics or reporting experience; supervisory readiness.
• 1 year in supervisory/management or project management.
• 5 years in data science, analytics or reporting; management experience.
• 10 years in data science, analytics or reporting; senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day departmental operations.
• Oversee systems, procedures, forms, and manuals for responsible area.
• Review and update department docs; keep staff informed of standards.
• Direct and improve quality, timeliness, and performance goals.
• Provide guidance, evaluate staff, and coordinate training needs.
• Consult with internal departments and external partners.
• Identify technical solutions and address business issues.
• Monitor healthcare trends and present results clearly.
• Lead data mining, modeling, and presentation to executives.
• Design dashboards and define metrics; monitor effectiveness.
• Develop analytical tools to address business issues.
• It is a full-time role with standard expectations.
