Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Informatics to lead data analytics and healthcare technology efforts that improve clinical quality and care outcomes, including the annual HEDIS submissions.

You will manage a team of analysts and informatics specialists, coordinate with IT and providers, and present metrics to executives with actionable recommendations to close gaps in care. This hybrid, full-time role requires AZ residency and onsite presence per schedule.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in healthcare data analytics, clinical informatics, or quality improvement.
• Three+ years in a managerial/director role supervising clinical analysts, data scientists, or informatics teams.
• Three+ years using health data tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) and HEDIS engines.
• Experience leading annual HEDIS submission cycles and managing vendor relationships.
• Experience managing diverse data streams (claims, pharmacy, labs, ECDS).

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of data analysts, SQL developers, and informatics specialists.
• Lead the end-to-end annual HEDIS submission roadmap with NCQA compliance.
• Forecast quality performance and present data-driven recommendations.
• Present metrics to executive leadership and drive strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, providers, and partners to develop data sources for quality measurement.
• Provide training and oversee performance and hiring of informatics staff.
