Job summary

Alloy is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to model, govern, and expose data at scale within alloy’s Data Platform team. You will work with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and client teams to ensure data assets are trustworthy and scalable.

You will design dbt models, define the semantic layer, and collaborate to optimize the Snowflake warehouse while establishing data standards and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics engineering or data engineering experience.
• Strong command of dbt and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake or equivalent data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust dbt models serving as the authoritative analytics foundation.
• Own and evolve the semantic layer with metrics, dimensions, and business logic.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to ensure a well-structured, performant Snowflake warehouse.
• Establish and champion standards for data modeling, testing, and documentation.
• Partner with client-facing and product teams to deliver native warehouse data delivery to customers.
• Identify and address data quality issues and build observability and governance frameworks.
• Shape Analytics Engineering practices and help set the standard.
