Job summary

Rula is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a fast-moving Analytics Engineering pod. You will co-own, scale, and optimize the Transform layer of our data ecosystem, balancing SQL execution with cross-functional stewardship.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in analytics/data engineering, strong SQL and dbt experience, and proven ability to design scalable data models while navigating regulated data systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering or related technical analytics roles.
• Expert-level SQL with strong data modeling experience and awareness of architectural trade-offs.
• 2+ years building modular data pipelines with dbt in production.
• Experience designing schemas and optimizing queries on Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery.
• Proficient with production Git workflows and automated data quality testing.
• Experience partnering with analytics, operations, or business teams to translate requirements into documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize modular dbt pipelines and robust schemas.
• Translate product requirements into clear data assets and documentation.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks to reduce query latency and costs, especially on Snowflake migrations.
• Mentor peers, perform peer code reviews, and reduce legacy technical debt.
• Advocate for data security and cultivate a healthy engineering culture within the pod.
