Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Strong SQL and Python for analytics engineering.
• Experience with dbt or willingness to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts on Snowflake or similar.
• Experience with dbt in production environments.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling and layered data architectures.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dbt models following medallion architecture (bronze to gold).
• Build dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables for analytics.
• Implement and maintain data quality tests using dbt.
• Optimize SQL transformations within dbt for Snowflake performance.
• Document data models, transformation logic, and operational procedures.
• Configure and maintain Dagster assets to orchestrate dbt execution and schedules.
• Monitor pipeline health and resolve execution failures.
• Create Python-based ingestion pipelines for sources without native connectors.
• Participate in code reviews for dbt models and orchestration configurations.
