Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer in Needham, MA or Remote US to own data products end-to-end, from onboarding sources to modeling and delivering insights for business teams. Strong SQL, Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and AI-assisted tooling are essential to drive scalable, governed analytics in a fast-moving environment.

You will design robust pipelines, onboard new data sources, and collaborate with vendors, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain high standards and reliable data

Qualifications

• Expert SQL and deep familiarity with Snowflake.
• Real depth in ETL/ELT and data modeling, with dbt Cloud experience.
• Hands-on with Dagster or Airflow, including partitioning and backfills.
• Pipelines you designed that kept working as volume grew.
• Third-party APIs and file feeds pulled into a warehouse, plus the auth and secret management around them.
• Owned pipeline reliability in production: alerting, triage, and follow-through after an incident.
• Set or raised engineering standards on a team, in writing, and made them stick.
• Used AI coding assistants in a real production workflow, with guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new data sources end to end: vendor REST APIs, SFTP and S3 file drops, on-prem file shares.
• Lead orchestration pipeline orchestration: schedules, backfills, and tests.
• Build idempotent loads with a clear merge grain and re-run fixes.
• Own alerting, triage, and root-cause analysis for failed runs.
• Write Python tests and dbt tests; keep CI green.
• Build and maintain dbt Cloud models on Snowflake with tests and docs.
