Job summary

Alaffia is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the data and analytics foundation that informs strategic decisions as we scale in healthcare. You will design scalable data models, build dashboards and self‑serve analytics, and ensure data quality and freshness across teams.

Collaborating with product, engineering and operations, you’ll optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, reduce latency, and manage costs while enabling data‑driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses.
• Proficient in ETL/ELT workflow design for scalable pipelines.
• Familiar with data governance and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to build dashboards and reports for multiple stakeholders using BI tools.
• Strong data accuracy, latency management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for reporting.
• Experience with large healthcare claims data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack analytics engineering to design models and semantic layers.
• Build dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data documentation.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with well-documented data flows.
• Optimize queries, transformations, and cost while improving performance.
• Collaborate across commercial, engineering, product, and operations teams.
• Establish reporting SOPs and handle ad-hoc analyses and investigations.
