Job summary

Airbnb.org seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation for reporting, analysis and experimentation. You will design and deliver data models, metrics and dashboards that power decision-making for programs and relief efforts.

You will own major data projects end-to-end, partner with Marketing, Programs and Product, and ensure data quality and reliability across the stack in a US-based remote role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience owning major data projects end to end, from scoping and design through delivery.
• Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries on distributed data processing systems (e.g. Spark, Presto, Hive).
• Solid experience in dimensional data modeling, schema design and metric definition.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Airflow for ETL/orchestration.
• Excellent communication of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data models and pipelines powering reporting and experimentation.
• Define metrics and dimensions for Airbnb.org and document them for trust across teams.
• Own data quality, testing, auditing and incident response for your pipelines.
• Develop dashboards and self-serve data products for easy data access.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Fundraising, Programs, Product, Data Science and Engineering; mentor peers.
