Job summary

Preply is seeking an Analytics Engineer to shape critical data models, streamline pipelines, and empower decision-making across the company.

You will own the architecture of complex data models, develop ETL/ELT processes, and manage the Looker BI layer (LookML) to deliver trustworthy analytics for teams.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to drive data quality, governance, and scalable analytics infrastructure in a fast-growing, global learning platform.

Qualifications

• Able to design and maintain robust data models.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data.
• Own Looker BI layer, including LookML modeling and dashboards.
• Provide technical leadership for analytics workflows with data scientists and engineers.
• Promote CI/CD practices for analytics code and data quality.
• Drive data reliability, governance, and documentation across domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of complex data models ensuring clarity, accessibility, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and optimize sophisticated ETL/ELT pipelines, enhancing performance and scalability within our multi-terabyte data ecosystem.
• Own and enhance our BI layer (Looker via LookML), ensuring intuitive, performant, and scalable self-service analytics.
• Provide technical leadership in collaboration with data science teams to optimize analytical workflows, reduce redundancy, and enforce robust data governance.
• Champion engineering best practices, including advanced version control, CI/CD pipelines for analytics, and rigorous automated data quality monitoring.
