Polymarket is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the modeling layer between raw data and business decisions. You’ll join a small, high-ownership team and collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to turn trading and app data into clean, well-defined models and metrics that drive growth, finance, and market operations.

This role demands exacting data quality, strong SQL, and hands-on dbt/Airflow work in a fast-moving environment where product logic evolves weekly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of analytics engineering or similar, with production modeling experience.
• Expert SQL: reading, writing, and optimizing complex queries.
• Hands-on with dbt, Airflow, and a modern cloud warehouse (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse).
• Strong dimensional modeling and metric design skills.
• Fluency with BI tools like Hex or Looker; bias toward self-serve insights.
• Fundamentals of software engineering (version control, code reviews).
• Genuine interest in business metrics and fast-moving environment.
• Plus: familiarity with on-chain data or blockchain analytics; fintech/crypto exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build dbt models turning raw activity into clean datasets.
• Define core metrics across volume, traders, retention, revenue.
• Collaborate with data engineers on warehouse, views, and performance.
• Build reporting in homegrown dashboards for growth, finance, markets.
• Translate open questions into durable, repeatable models.
• Write tests and monitoring for data quality at the model layer.
• Model new products and keep semantic layer aligned with business.
• Document models so engineers can context-switch easily.
