Job summary

ZBD is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build the modeling layer the business runs on. You will design and build trustworthy models for finance, compliance, and product.

You will stand up dbt on a new warehouse, define schemas from fuzzy requirements, and work with stakeholders to set data definitions and what “correct” means in our business context.

Reporting to the VP, Data, you will help architect a scalable foundation and drive advanced analytics and reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of analytics/engineering experience with modeling ownership.
• Strong SQL skills with complex joins and window functions.
• Experience with data modeling and dimensional modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own the transformation layer, including dimensional models, tests, and documentation, as we stand up dbt on a new warehouse.
• Turn business questions into durable models, converting ambiguity into structure and patterns.
• Partner with finance, compliance, and product to define requirements, data definitions, and “correct” meanings.
• Monitor what you build and resolve issues before stakeholders notice.
• Go deeper into ingestion, orchestration, or warehouse configuration as needed.
