Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lay the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function. You will partner with data science and business stakeholders to ensure the analytics stack meets current and future business needs.

You will design data models, write scalable SQL, and enable AI tooling with semantic layers while improving data infrastructure to drive data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience working with data and two years in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with the analytics tooling listed (dbt, Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma).
• Bring a system-oriented and software engineering mindset to Analytics Engineering; build frameworks that manage data and minimize bespoke queries.
• Deep knowledge of crafting dimensional and fact models in modern data fashion.
• Desire to enable data developers and to give data super powers across the company.
• Interest in leading security, anonymization, and compliance in data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex data models to enable dashboards and self-serve analytics.
• Write highly tuned, scalable SQL queries over large-scale data warehouses.
• Enable AI tooling with semantic layers and observability for analytics teams.
• Manage and improve data infrastructure to support data-driven decisions.
• Help develop front end applications to expose analytical datasets enterprise-wide.
• Collaborate with Product and Corporate Engineering teams to structure source systems for reporting.
