Merit America is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the analytics platform powering reporting and decision‑making. You will transform raw data into canonical models, governed metrics, and self‑service reporting used across the organization.

The role emphasizes data quality, semantic layer governance, and collaboration with analysts and engineers while exploring AI enhancements to improve analytics reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years working with SQL and a modern cloud data warehouse.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt.
• Experience building canonical data models and governed metrics.
• Experience with a semantic layer or governed BI environment (Lightdash/LookML/dbt Semantic Layer).
• Strong data modeling judgment for evolving business domains.
• Comfort experimenting with AI tools with strong validation and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve canonical data models and durable, reporting-ready tables.
• Govern core metrics and the semantic layer with clear documentation.
• Maintain data quality with observability, testing, and monitoring across the stack.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure governance and usable analytics.
