Job summary

DIRECTV seeks a Sr. Specialist, Advanced Analytics to own end-to-end lifecycle of advanced models such as CLV, churn, propensity, and segmentation, driving measurable business impact. The role combines deep technical mastery with business judgment and mentoring across the analytics team.

You will collaborate with business leaders to frame problems, deploy models in production, monitor performance, and present findings to senior leaders. This remote US role can be located anywhere except Alaska.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or data science.
• Expert-level proficiency in R and/or Python, with strong SQL skills.
• Experience building customer lifetime value, churn, and segmentation models in production.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate analyses into recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full analytical project lifecycle from framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities and scope projects.
• Translate model outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for executives.
• Identify data quality issues and lead remediation efforts.
• Design and deploy advanced predictive models with minimal oversight.
• Establish model governance and monitoring frameworks.
