Job summary

Alta Resource Technologies seeks an Analytical Chemist III – Protein to join the Analytical Chemistry group in Boulder, CO. You will develop and validate analytical methods for protein characterization, with emphasis on HPLC, and collaborate with Biology, Chemistry, and Process Engineering teams to build scalable workflows.

The role requires leading protein analytics efforts, applying high-throughput strategies, and guiding data interpretation across cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant analytical laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and executing HPLC methods for proteins/biomolecules.
• Experience with UV-Vis, plate-based assays, SDS-PAGE, or similar methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, qualify, and execute analytical methods for protein characterization, primarily HPLC.
• Develop high-throughput protein analytical workflows to support increased sample volume.
• Lead protein analytics within the Analytical Chemistry group and collaborate with Biology, Chemistry, and Process Engineering teams.
• Coordinate with external labs and vendors for specialized protein characterization.
