Job summary

Alloy Therapeutics seeks a principal scientist in Protein Analytics in Waltham, MA to drive high-throughput screening and advanced analytical methods for antibodies and modalities. You will design experiments, interpret data, and guide developability decisions in a collaborative environment.

The role offers leadership of a team, mentorship of junior scientists, and a compensation package with a $130k–$160k range plus equity, reflecting expertise in LC-MS, cIEF, and biophysical characterization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience or M.S. with at least 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record of expertise in protein analytical and biophysical assessments.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS, CE-SDS, CZE or cIEF, DLS and chromatographic techniques such as SEC, HIC.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and execute high-throughput screening, stability, forced degradation, and pre-formulation studies for monoclonal and multispecific antibodies and other modalities.
• Lead later-stage characterization efforts to support developability and formulation decisions.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods and optimize workflows for throughput, sensitivity, and reproducibility.
• Supervise and mentor junior scientists and review experimental designs and data.
