Job summary

Alta Resource Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Analytical Chemist III - Protein in Boulder, CO to develop and execute protein analytics, lead method development, and drive scalable workflows for rapid testing in our analytical chemistry group.

The role emphasizes hands-on HPLC, UV-Vis, SDS-PAGE, and plate-based assays, with collaboration across Biology, Chemistry, and Process Engineering teams to advance Alta's protein-based mineral separation platform.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
7+ years of analytical lab experience.
Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and executing HPLC methods for proteins/biomolecules.
Experience with UV-Vis, plate-based assays, SDS-PAGE.
Ability to troubleshoot methods and communicate results across teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, qualify, and execute analytical methods for protein characterization, with HPLC as a primary focus.
Establish scalable, high-throughput workflows (HPLC-DAD, UV-Vis, plate assays, SDS-PAGE).
Lead protein analytics within the Analytical Chemistry group and collaborate with Biology, Chemistry, and Process Engineering.
Support tech transfer, standardization, and external collaborations; communicate results to stakeholders.
